Responsibilities

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Northeastern University invites applications for tenured or tenure-track appointments at the associate or full professor level from exceptional candidates with a proven record of scholarly productivity, technical leadership, and external research funding. We are particularly interested in control and cyber-physical-social systems, machine learning and data science, robotics and human-system interaction, micro/nano-devices, and communication and networking; however, outstanding candidates in all areas will be carefully considered.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field is required by the start date. Outstanding candidates at all levels will be considered. Successful candidates will be expected to develop strong independent research programs with emphasis on interdisciplinary and translational research and to excel in teaching in both our undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful senior candidate should be an established researcher with a strong record of funding, peer-reviewed publications, and technical leadership.

ECE Department has 54 tenured/tenure track faculty with established areas of excellence in communication, computer engineering, control, electromagnetics, micro/nano systems and devices, networks, optics, power electronics and systems, signal processing.
