The Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences at Northeastern University seeks applications for multiple full-time academic year faculty positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. Tenure on entry may be considered. We welcome applicants who have well-established, funded research programs (or excellent prospects for research funding if at the assistant level) and are interested in collaborating with faculty across health care disciplines including public health, population health and urban health and diverse areas such as business, sociology, computer science, law and engineering.

These positions will be located in the Department of Pharmacy and Health System Sciences in the School of Pharmacy, one of the units within Bouvé College of Health Sciences. The faculty member will teach in the School’s PharmD program, have opportunities to teach in and collaborate with the Bouvé College of Health Science’s Masters of Public Health Program and PhD program in Population Health, and participate in inter-professional activities across Bouvé College and Northeastern University. Faculty from the Department of Pharmacy and Health System Sciences currently support students in the Population Health PhD program.


Applicants for these positions should have expertise in pharmacy practice, medication use and public health. The ideal candidate for this position:
• Holds a doctoral-level research degree (e.g., PhD, ScD, DrPH) in social and administrative pharmacy, health services research, health policy, public health, or a similar area by the start date.
• Conducts relevant empirical research in health services research areas such as the impact of the pharmacist or pharmacy-based interventions on public health including quality and determinants of self-care behaviors and medication adherence, and new models of medication management and pharmaceutical care delivery.
• Has a strong record of external research funding (or excellent prospects for research funding if currently at the assistant rank)
• Has a track record of strong peer-reviewed publications;
• Has excellent analytical and communication skills;
• Has undergraduate and/or graduate teaching expertise in a health professions program.
