Responsibilities

The Dean’s Office of the College of Computer & Information Science requires an individual with proven skills in handling confidential materials, multi-tasking, and handling sensitive situations in a calm, thoughtful and professional manner. He/she will assist the Graduate Admissions Office with applicant inquiries, application review and enrollment information communuication; Process all SGA appointments and ensure PhD students are paid timely. He/she will be responsible for training, selecting and supervising work study students for the dean’s suite, systems and student labs. He/she will also serve as backup to the Front Desk Administrator and Executive Assistant to the Dean. This individual must be able to multi-task under a fast-paced environment with many distractions. Due to the needs of the office, this individual will work from 8:30 to 5:30.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years work experience, preferable in a higher education setting. Individual must have strong organization skills and be comfortable with Microsoft Office and Outlook. Person must be able to multi-task, remain focused in a somewhat hectic environment and be team oriented. Sense of humor a plus. He/she must be able to communicate professionally and effectively on behalf of the college.
