Responsibilities

The Finance Group of the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts seeks to hire one tenure-track or tenured faculty for the 2018/19 academic year at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We seek candidates who have at least one year experience as a full-time faculty member in an academic institution. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. The position will remain open until filled.

The Group currently has 22 full-time, research active, tenured or tenure-track faculty, seven full-time non-tenure track faculty, and two full-time visiting faculty. The Group emphasizes a strong commitment to teaching excellence and a strong research program that targets top-tier journals. Research support, including data availability, is excellent. Primary teaching responsibilities are in the area of corporate finance, investments, and/or international finance at the undergraduate and graduate level.

Qualifications

We seek candidates who have a doctorate in finance or a closely related field before the start date and who are committed to excellence in teaching and research. Candidates should have a significant research record and leadership potential. The candidate must have experience in, or demonstrated commitment to, working with a diverse staff and student population. Summer research grants, research assistants, and other sources of research funding are also available.
