Responsibilities

Enrollment Contact Representatives serve as the front line contact (via phone, email and chat), as well as participate in proactive outreach for parents and students and assist in the successful recruitment, enrollment and retention of prospective and current Northeastern students. The Enrollment Contact Representative will be expected to demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills in making sound independent professional judgment to facilitate services for students. Enrollment Contact Reps duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
o Assist in the student’s successful navigation of admissions processes, with the ultimate goal of helping students fully complete an application
o Assist students with the registration processes
o Advise and assist students and parents with all aspects of financial aid, student account and payment options
o Advise students of approaching important deadlines
o Advise the student of available Northeastern student service resources are available to him/her and how to obtain these services.
o Act as a liaison for the student to those services to assure that student’s questions and concerns are being addressed

This position will require excellent interpersonal and phone etiquette, a positive outgoing personality, the ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment, and a self-starter attitude. Individuals must be willing to work in a metrics driven position.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree is required. Two years prior experience in counseling students in an educational environment or relevant transferable experience required. Strong interpersonal, phone, and communication skills required. Customer service experience is essential. Ability to understand and effectively communicate the financial and regulatory information. Excellent organizational, counseling and communication skills are required. The candidate will have some experience in working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite. A demonstrated sensitivity to the understanding of the needs and concerns of a diverse population is also essential. Prior experience working in a contact center, higher education or related academic experience and supporting adult learners is desired.
This position will require a flexible work schedule that would include some evening hours. It will be based in Dedham. Must be willing to work from Boston on occasion for training, meetings and events.

Additional Information

Positions may be offered as temporary, part time or full time. Hiring will be on an as needed basis. Must be willing to work some holiday and occasional weekend hours.
Shifts will range between 8:30am and 8:00pm
