Responsibilities

The Kostas Research Institute with the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate. As part of the KRI/MIE team, the primary duties of the Postdoctoral Research Associate will be assisting in the initiation, execution and completion of research and experiments to include conducting electrode, electrolyte, and cell development; performance evaluation and analysis; key responsibilities also include: assisting the supervisor in the interpretation and publication of results and grants; lab management and may exercise functional supervision over supporting research staff/students. The position generally does not extend beyond two years.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a creative, enthusiastic, team-oriented and self-motivated candidate from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. A Ph.D. in electrochemistry, chemistry, materials science, chemical/mechanical Engineering, or related fields is required. Experience and skills in solid and polymer electrolytes synthesis, electrochemical and material characterization are desired.
