As the School of Journalism expands its graduate programs we seek a part-time administrator/coordinator through June 2018. The position provides administrative support to the director and academic coordinator for the School’s fast-growing graduate programs in Media Innovation and Media Advocacy. This will include assisting with events, office management, and supporting outreach to applicants, visitors and others. As part of their duties, the Multimedia Specialist will manage the School of Journalism’s social media and web profiles and support marketing efforts by the College of Arts Media and Design. This will include short articles, taking photos and producing short videos for the School and CAMD websites. This is a 27 hour per week benefits eligible position.


A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and 2 – 5 years in writing or journalism/public relations experience. The candidate should be well organized and be able to take on a variety of administrative tasks. In addition, the candidate should be able to produce short articles and videos (features, profiles, question and answer articles) about the School of Journalism, and be fluent in WordPress, social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and be able to maintain the School of Journalism web pages as well as tweet, blog and maintain a Facebook presence on behalf of the School and in support of the College.
