Responsibilities

This position ensures the proper processing of University employees’ life cycle transactions especially those that affect their pay on multiple payrolls. The incumbent is responsible for all transactions in their respective academic divisions, for the timely inclusion of all appropriate Human Resources transactions that are routine, including FT benefits-eligible employees, full-time and part-time administrative staff, weekly and hourly and all HR Action Forms that relate to those payrolls. To this end, s/he is charged with troubleshooting and resolving all payroll processing conflicts, and communicating any issues affecting each payroll with the respective University Department.

The incumbent is responsible for the processing of the recurring auto-terminations, responsible for acting on the part of HRM on duplicate NUID preferences, auditing data entry and running queries for primary job accuracy and other exception-related instances or information requests. S/he creates process documentation for routine transactions and serves as expert in training divisional key contacts on Banner processes.

S/he participates routinely on team projects assigned by his/her manager and performs special projects at the manager’s request. As a member of the HR/Payroll Service Center, the incumbent provides excellent customer service to users.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree preferred and 2-4 years’ experience in a Human Resources or Payroll office. Must be able to handle confidential information in a professional manner, excellent customer service skills, high level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail, and ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong preference for candidates who are proficient in Microsoft Excel and have Banner experience.
