The College of Professional Studies welcomes applicants for a full time, non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching Professor in the content area of math. The focus of this role will be to serve as the lead in developing and maintaining high quality education to our students in the College’s math course offerings.
This full-time faculty member will teach courses and will work with the program office on administrative issues throughout the academic year. Actual course load will vary with other responsibilities, which include but are not limited to the following:
1) Participate in the curriculum development and monitoring process.
2) Make recommendations for additions to, or upgrading of, curriculum, course materials, equipment, and textbooks.
4) Share course materials and insights with other faculty members.
5) Participate in Advisory Board and/or other committee meetings.
6) Keep up-to-date and in contact with local employers regarding appropriateness of course/program content.
7) Participate in faculty recruitment and mentoring.

Additional responsibilities include: teaching, student advising, developing course content and materials, and supporting admissions and recruiting.


Candidates must have a doctorate degree in math or a related field. Experience in teaching in various formats such as online, blended and hybrid is also required.
This position requires a commitment to teaching excellence and a high-level of student service. A strong record of teaching experience appropriate at the undergraduate level is expected and required. Substantial real-world professional experience within a math oriented field is critical.

Additional Information

This is a non-tenure track, renewable position. This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes required evening hours and the possibility of some weekend hours.
