Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and in collaboration with the Vice President for PAN Enrollment, Marketing and Recruitment, the Associate Vice President (AVP) of Global Recruitment will be responsible for developing, establishing, managing and evolving B-to-B (Representative) network, B to C (Direct) recruitment assets, institutional partner network and corporate relationships globally.

Responsibilites include forming a high performance team to promote and recruit for Northeastern University (NU) in key student recruitment markets around the world where students are aspiring to study abroad; high schools, colleges and universities are looking for partnerships to enhance higher education pathways for their students while expanding the knowledge horizons for their faculty through exchange and join research projects and corporates looking to inherit enriched global curriculum as part of continuing education opportunities for their employees.

Responsibilities may expand to include creating and maintaining global recruitment assets particularly but not limited to portal for agent representatives, multi-lingual websites as well as marketing materials for direct recruitment, online counseling and admissions services platform to support inquiry to enrollment of foreign students, enhanced network and technology framework for in-country delivery of NU’s academic and non-academic programs.

Generally, the AVP will hold overall responsibility for all the global recruitment initiatives for Northeastern University. The AVP of Global Recruitment is expected to work effectively in a matrix organization, collaborating closely with colleagues in Marketing & Recruitment, Finance, Data Analysis, Regional Deans and CEOs, Enrollment Management Contact Center, and Experiential and Online Learning.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the University, and serving as a senior member of the Enrollment Management division, the AVP works to advance both near and long-term institutional goals.

Qualifications

•Minimum ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in educational administration.
•Must have performed leadership roles for at least 5 years overseeing global recruitment management functions as well as hired, coached and managed multicultural overseas teams.
•Proven track record of successful strategic planning, excellent operational and systems management, effective supervisory practice and innovative approaches to optimizing resources to meet institutional goals and a standard of excellence of service delivery.
•An understanding of econometric modeling and other relevant statistical tools.
•A proven understanding of the dynamics of a complex and culturally diverse university community.
•Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills as well as demonstrated creative and analytical abilities.
•Experience working with CRM lead/prospect management system for an educational institution
•Experience with university recruitment calling or working in a call-center environment a plus
•Ability to leverage best practices and implement IT governance and standards for global enrollment operations.
•Demonstrated Project management skills, with an ability to create and manage project plans, both high level and detail for specific audiences. Knowledge of and the ability to plan, organize, monitor and control global projects ensuring the utilization of resources to better achieve project objectives.
•Ability to multi-task and handle a wide variety of job duties, and prioritize based on business value.
•A master’s degree required.
