Responsibilities | The Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences at Northeastern University seeks applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Tenure on entry may be considered at the Associate level. We welcome applicants who have well-established, funded research programs (or excellent prospects for research funding if at the assistant level) and are interested in collaborating with faculty across health care disciplines including public health, population health and urban health and diverse areas such as business, sociology, computer science, law and engineering. |
Qualifications | Applicants for the position should have expertise in public health, medication use and pharmacy sciences and hold a doctoral degree by the start of an appointment and have advanced education/training in research [e.g., PhD, ScD, DrPH, post-doctoral fellowship, or equivalent], in pharmacy, social and administrative sciences, health services research, health economics, health policy, public health, pharmacoepidemiology or a similar area, completed by the start date. Candidates must have conducted relevant empirical research in health services research areas such as the quality and determinants of self-care behaviors and medication adherence, value of medicine, and new models of medication management and pharmaceutical care delivery or other relevant areas. We are looking for a strong record of external research funding at the Associate level (or excellent prospects for research funding at the Assistant level), a track record of strong peer-reviewed publications, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching in the health professions program. |
