Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include the day-to day running of the study, including recruiting and running participants through the experimental protocols, and managing and processing the data collected. While the research technician will work closely with a postdoctoral research associate and with the Principal Investigator on all aspects of the studies, the lab is large and team-based. Therefore, the research technician will be expected to coordinate a team of undergraduate research volunteers, who assist with the studies, as well as interact with other lab members (graduate students and post-docs) and collaborators. The applicant must be comfortable with computers and computer technology, and must demonstrate a willingness to learn new software and methodologies independently. Additionally, applicants must have good organizational and troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

BA or BS in Psychology or related field is required. Familiarity with neuroscience, psychophysiology and lab experience are preferred. Prior experience with some statistical (e.g., SPSS) and some experimental software (e.g., Matlab) strongly preferred
