The Associate Registrar-Data Specialist will develop, document, maintain, and support student reporting for the Office of the Registrar. They will assist with maintaining the integrity of student records data with weekly and daily audit reports. They will build ad hoc reports for the Office of the Registrar as well as other university departments as required. The specialist will create and gather documentation on requirements, training materials, reports and data analysis. In addition, the specialist will schedule, update and maintain system processes, and work with the office to build and maintain an operational calendar. The specialist will participate in the development of Registrar’s back office business processes for data cleanup. The position also includes the additional maintenance and support of the departmental sharedrive and Sharepoint site.


Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and 2-5 years related experience in registrar operational reporting functions and programming; OR 5-7 years of related higher education experience in a professional capacity with operations and reporting.
• Experience with Banner or other student information systems
• Experience with relational database such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Access, as well as Microsoft tools such as Word, Mail Merge and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with the manipulation of data from various type of databases such as Access, Oracle RDBMS, DataMart, and legacy systems. Experience with Cognos and/or Blackboard Analytics
• Familiarity with different web browsers.
• Experience with Banner Student data structures version 8 and above
• Experience with Sharepoint site development
