Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Chair, and working closely with the Directors of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, the Academic Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day academic operations of the department, as well as medium-term strategic planning. This Coordinator will be charged with departmental interactions with the Registrar’s Office (Rollover sheets, Final Exam scheduling, Non-Major registration issues, and TRACE proofs), supporting the Graduate Program in Chemistry (graduate admissions logistics, graduate student degree tracking, registration issues, and graduation clearance), overseeing the process of Teaching Assistant assignments, oversight, and training and managing the communications between the department and the part time lecturers union.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree required with at least 5-8 years of academic administrative experience. Preferred, MS/MA degree with 1-3 years of academic administrative experience.
