The Event Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of event logistics planning for the graduate and undergraduate admissions and recruiting events for Northeastern University Professional Advancement Network. Events include, but are not limited to, graduate and undergraduate open houses, prospective student information sessions, yield events and online webinars. Operational support is also provided for information sessions, hosted recruitment events, and promotional and presentation materials. In addition, the coordinator will provide planning and logistical support for large scale field recruiting events and contribute to the event planning process as needed.

The Event Coordinator will coordinate all assigned event details and execute events with the highest standards and practices. S/he will work closely with campus partners including the colleges, faculty, admissions, marketing, facilities, catering, media, public safety, and others and hire external vendors to support events. The Event Coordinator serve as the primary liaison for all event-related contractors, ensuring submission and adherence to University policies and guidelines.


Bachelor’s degree required. One to three years of relevant event management experience required. Required strengths include: attention to detail and understanding of logistics, organization, short-term and long-range assessment and planning and strong communication and presentation skills. In addition, strong analytic, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize are a must. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across units and is sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies is required. Project management experience would be beneficial. Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours at various locations required.
