Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Regional Dean & CEO of Northeastern University Silicon Valley, the Associate Dean serves as a member of the leadership team, responsible for the planning and coordination of academic delivery, effective delivery of student services, operational planning, licensure, compliance, accreditation processes and protocols. The Associate Dean plays a key role in fulfilling the vision of Northeastern University Silicon Valley and all the activities that position us as a strong asset in the region. This position’s scope will expand along with the growth of the Campus. This person will serve as the Campus lead in absence of the Dean. In effect, the incumbent serves as the Campus Chief Operating Officer.

The Associate Dean will work with the Boston based College Deans, Associate Deans, Program Directors and other academic personnel to ensure the delivery of programs that are the highest quality and aligned with local and regional workforce needs. The Associate Dean will serve as a lead for innovating new academic programs in collaboration with the academic colleges.

This position ensures that the Northeastern brand presence is projected both externally and internally through the delivery of high-quality academic programs and student services. In addition, the position oversees the Silicon Valley student services and administrative staff.

The Associate Dean will manage, and serve as the primary contact for the Silicon Valley campus licensure, compliance, accreditation criteria and processes for the California Postsecondary Education Commission, Federal SEVIS program, and other programmatic and professional accreditation processes.

Alongside with the Regional Dean and CEO, the Associate Dean will contribute and monitors strategic plans, progress toward campus goals, budgeting and reports, and other academic related projects that enhance and support the mission of the campus.

Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in an innovative and creative culture in a growing organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations
• Master’s degree in business, education ,leadership or a related field
• Minimum of eight to ten years of relevant experience
• Experience in an academic setting desirable but not required
• Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
• Experience with event management, project management, facility/campus operations
• Ability to partner with local institutions and businesses to deliver high quality programs and events
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate multiple tasks while delivering highest level of customer service
• Strong management skills, including prior supervisory experience
